Dragon-tastic
This is something that is making me happy at this current moment. SongSmith is a microsoft research project from 2009. It takes a melody that you (or someone else) sings and then builds chords around it. Microsoft has put a lot of work in to proving that computer can’t really write music (well).
This is Metallica’s Enter Sandman.
Microsoft Win.
So I was thinking the other day
‘Kieran, you rarely have much to say. Why do you even want to maintain a blog?’
Then I thought to myself
‘I always lose files of the projects I do, so why not upload them here for the dual purpose of storing them safely but also so people can laugh at you and your abilities’
To which I replied
‘Kieran. You are a genius… Yes you are!’
So, with all that being said, I thought I’d post a clip of me playing with funky new software I got not so long ago. It’s not good or interesting, so don’t get excited. it’s out of time and has terrible harmonies and drums… but it’s a start.
You probably thought this was a blog post.
Nope.
Chuck Testa.
So! Since I’ve found out that my friend Jer does the whole blog thing I figure I might as well be legitimately active on here so I don’t feel so stalkery when I read her blog. As an added bonus; she can read about my life too! Lucky girl.
HI JER!
Also regarding my friend S-dawg. I accidentally stopped following her just now… my bad… I hope she forgives me and wants to hang out with me soon. That’d be super cool.
